Fort Reno Deluxe Didn't Have Enough Ring to It
Thievery Corporation, recently coming off a sold-out three day stint at the 9:30 Club, will be hosting Operation Ceasefire, a free music festival to be held at the Washington Monument on Saturday, September 24th. Several bands, such as Ted Leo & The Pharmacists and Le Tigre have already been confirmed to perform for the all-day concert. A press conference for the announcement of the event will be held at noon today at the National Press Club in downtown Washington. The concert is great timing for those in the area who want to head up north the following weekend for the Across The Narrows fest but not miss out on DC's own little festival, plus it's free! And Jet won't be there.
