It's being "reported" that Rob Moxley, a first year assistant coach for Maryland Basketball, is already leaving College Park to return to his former assistant coaching position at UNC Charlotte. It's another serious hit to an already suffering program. Moxley was known for his excellent recruiting skills, something which head coach Gary Williams particularly lacks at. The Terps have two highly ranked classes coming in for the '06 and '07 seasons, however, why Moxley would leave just after one year raises a serious question. Why would someone leave their former job for a more competitive program only to immediately jump ship and return back to Charlotte? TUL believes there's more to this than meets the eye, so there must be a serious yet valid reason for his unfortunate departure. I wonder what Billy Hahn is up to these days?
