Apples In Mono

So after maybe eight months of use, it finally happened. The heavily documented wire stripping issue occurred on my Sony Fontopia headphones last week. In case you've never encountered this, the wire of the headphones becomes a putty-like substance after moderate use (most likely caused by perspiration) which deteriorates the insulation and ultimately exposes the copper wire. It's a shame since, while not the best-sounding earphone, they are probably the most comfortable I've owned thus far. So as sorry as it sounds, I went to the gym last night rocking a piece of not white, but brown electrical tape that helped cover the exposed piece of wire. While only a temporary solution, I'd still rather use those than the shit Apple stock ones. Anyway, me thinks it's probably a good idea to invest in a new pair of headphones.
