Maryland Basketball Lands Huge Commit For 2008

While we're slowly counting down the months to Midnight Madness, Gary Williams and company have spent the majority of the summer on the recruiting trail for the 2008-2009 season. Word broke last night that the Terps landed their first commitment for next year's class and let me tell you, dude is a pure stud. Terrence Jennings, a five-star rated power forward from Mt. Zion HS in Durham, NC, verbally committed to the Terrapins yesterday evening. He's currently ranked the 17th best player in the nation and the 5th best amongst his position according to Rivals. Here's some YouTube footage to salivate over until he throws on a Maryland jersey in October of '08. The Terps have up to two more scholarships to give for next year's class, but as you can tell, they're already off to an excellent start.
