Spoon's Take
So now that it's a been about a week when I first trekked over to the 9:30 box office only to be denied my tickets to Spoon's now-cancelled shows at the club, Britt Daniel comes along and gives us his two cents on the matter while simultaneously earning my appreciation for this band even more. I mean, how cool is that? Granted their decision left a lot of fans disappointed (including myself), but at least we got to hear their side of the story. I'm just hoping that the band actually plays a club show in DC as mentioned in Britt's remarks. I'm also hoping that whatever illness I've been dealing with the past couple of days goes away in time for the weekend. Then again, it wouldn't surprise if I caught said illness from one of the bars in Dewey. I think I contracted six STDs just by sitting on a chair at the Starboard.
