All Quiet on the Virgin Mobile Fest Front?

Nothing really new to report other than speculation at this point, but the chances of the music festival being held at Merriweather Post Pavilion seem to gradually increase as the venue is coincidentally undergoing some renovations according to the Baltimore Sun.

The whole west side of the property is being expanded with brand new restrooms, a pinball lounge, and new concessions stands as well as leveled out

I e-mailed Merriweather's general manager, Jean Parker, who called me back and left an obscure message ...

"We're working on some pretty cool fun stuff, but we're not ready to disclose the details yet," she said. "So stay tuned."

Whether this may hint at providing upgraded amenities for the large crowds potentially attending Virgin Fest, I sure do love me some pinball as the DC area desperately needs a place like Shorty's in Seattle. Then again, anytime I visit Rock and Roll Hotel for a show, my money always seems to go towards the LOTR machine instead of the bar.
