40 Minutes of Ill Communication

Apparently last night's "secret" Beastie Boys show at the 9:30 Club lasted a meager 40 minutes, but for only a ticket price of $15, I guess I wouldn't complain. The B-Boys even bought the sold-out crowd some pizza from a few different shops to hold them over until the show finally went on around 11pm. Someone from the Forum was able to get a hold of the setlist from the sound engineer, so here's how it went down:

Sure Shot
Root Down
Right Now
Body Movin'
Brass Monkey
Shake Your Rump
Open Letter to NYC
Skills to Pay the Bills
New Style
Triple Trouble
3 MC's and One DJ
Ch Check It Out

Encore:
So Whatcha Want
Intergalactic

Not a bad playlist at all, though TUL sadly notices there was only one song from Paul's Boutique performed. I unfortunately couldn't score tickets to the show (I gave up calling HFS after 12 times since those 5 second calls with a busy signal each ate up a minute from my daytime minutes, boo Verizon Wireless!), but the fact that Franz is less than two days away eases the pain.
