In a bizarre sort of twist, The Upstate Life actually has some upstate news for a change. Sure, even though TUL now resides in the suburbs of Wonkville, he is still attuned to the zeitgeist transpiring up there in the former stomping ground of Albany. In what will sure to be great news for AA, GF, and AO, Jimmy Eat World will be performing at Northern Lights on Friday, November 12th. They'll be touring in support of their latest album, Futures, with tickets costing $20. I haven't heard the LP as of yet, but as always, Pitchfork wasn't too gracious on their review. It's good to see that a club in a strip mall and next to a roller rink can actually provide a decent show once in awhile...that is when Jordan Knight or Tesla isn't in town.
