I Just Wanted My Jumbo Slice
Much to everyone's dismay, The Upstate Life did not attend any of those balls or inauguration ceremonies, but instead went to the Anti-Inaugural Anti-Ball Party in Adams Morgan last night. For only $10, TUL was able to down as many Pilsners Adams Mill could offer until the bar ran out. After about six or seven drafts (and another bottle or two later), we decided to call it a night, but not before a stop to Pizza Mart to obtain a jumbo slice which TUL hasn't consumed in over several months. When we were walking down Columbia Road, we were greeted by about 30 or so policemen in riot gear blocking the road with a helicopter soaring above. Apparently, we walked right into this moments after it happened. I should've taken some mediocre camera phone pics as it was certainly an amazing sight, but not surprisingly, food somehow took precedence over the matter.
