The Real Snow Patrol

The Fiery Furnaces will be performing at, wait, not the Black Cat my friends, but the 9:30 Club on Friday, April 8th. I'm sorry, but TUL does not understand the critical acclaim behind this band. I tried listening to Blueberry Boat on several occasions, but alas, I just couldn't get into this overrated album.

Another group of critical darlings, that being British Sea Power, will be making their presence known in DC at the Black Cat on Thursday, May 12th according to the people over at Pollstar. The group will be touring in support of their new LP, Open Season, which will be released on April 4th.

The Upstate Life is sorry to announce that he won't be able to post his usual nonsense tomorrow as he'll be hitting the slopes at Whitetail Mountain for a good day's worth of skiing. Tonight will be heavily comprised of creating a solid iPod playlist for the three hour round trip. The Furnaces will unfortunately not be making an appearance on it.
