24, Not Just A Really, Really Good TV Show
So apparently I scored a 7 on the "Are you an indie-yuppie?" quiz. 5-10: On the verge, although you really, truly hate The Arcade Fire Okay, so maybe I'm teetering on the edge here, but I for one, as you all may already know, do not loathe The Arcade Fire. In fact, I heart them more than a bag of Doritos (and you may not know this, but that speaks volumes!). Perhaps if they replaced that band with The Fiery Furnaces instead, then maybe we'd have a case here. On a completely unrelated note, The Upstate Life officially turned 24 years of age today. TUL went to Black's Bar & Kitchen last night for dinner and was more than impressed with their Seafood Linguine. Unfortunately, our waiter appeared to be new to the place as he not only stumbled reading the specials off his pad several times, but had the most difficult time finding a pair of oyster forks for our appetizer. We ultimately had to use salad forks instead after he failed his mission, salad forks I tell you. The nerve, this isn't a fucking barn!
