Apply Some Pressure
Just acquired the Maxïmo Park LP and I definitely like what I hear so far. Sure, it's another overseas band riding the wave of success ushered in by the likes of Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party, but listen to "Graffiti" for yourself and just try to deny how good it sounds. It's practically impossible. Cheers to Seeking Irony for the recommendation. After listening to A Certain Trigger last night, I'm certainly looking forward to their opening performance at The Killers show next month at Merriweather. TUL is hopeful they'll perform after Louis XIV and not before so I don't have to endure another painful thirty minute set of sleazy fuck songs.
