The Rapture of Monday Night Television

Let's hear it for the Wizards, but more notably local boy and fellow Terp Juan Dixon, as he scored a career-high 35 points against the Chicago Bulls last night in Game 4 of the playoffs at the MCI Center. The man was literally on fire the entire night and TUL can't believe he outscored the Big Three, and this was from someone coming off the bench! Hands down Juan's best NBA performance thus far as he was able to rack up over half an hour of playing time, shoot 75% from the three point line, and hit every one of his free throws. It was literally like watching Dixon from the 2002 Championship season all over again, finding good looks and hitting solid shots. With Kwame's impending departure, maybe Steve Blake will see some more time on the court.

Yesterday's 24 was beyond a shadow of a doubt one of the most intense episodes I've ever seen, or at least from this season. Even though Habib Marwan didn't make one appearance throughout the entire night, The Upstate Life had to reattach his jaw from dropping onto the floor after watching the emotionally powerful hospital scene between Jack, Audrey, and Paul. I'm confounded as to how they're going to tie all these loose ends up before the season finale.

And lastly, I was able to watch last week's OC episode in its entirety with no presidential interruptions whatsoever over the weekend. You know, that one FOX is currently promoting as one half of their two hour long extravaganza this Thursday. Yeah, I already saw it thanks in part to our Canadian neighbors and BT. Don't roll your eyes, you know you're jealous.
