Too Hip For Just One Show
Since we here at The Upstate Life have nothing really exciting to share with you after this post-holiday stretch, we can always thank our lucky stars for Pollstar who come through with the clutch to save the day. The site broke even more interesting news today as they have announced that Mr. "I'll make an album for each of the 50 states but skip DC since they kind of don't count", better known as Sufjan Stevens to most of you, will be performing at the 9:30 Club on Tuesday, September 27th. Stevens will be promoting his new album, Illinois, which will be hitting record stores on July 5th. Not to be outdone, on that very same night, Wolf Eyes will be having a show over at The Warehouse Next Door in support of their full-length Sub-Pop debut which, coincidently, is scheduled to be released that day as well. The Upstate Life hasn't seen this type of concert activity in one day in quite awhile, ultimately facing your friendly neighborhood hipster with quite the dilemma come September 27. Given the WND's incredibly awesome website design, TUL has no choice but to give them the nod.
