Unbeknownst to TUL until late this afternoon, apparently the first ever Bethesda-Chevy Chase Restaurant Week kicked off this past Monday. How The Upstate Life was left in the dark about this when I fucking live here is beyond me. Anyway, it looks like I shot myself in the foot seeing as that I literally have no time whatsoever to check out any of these fine establishments during this seven day prix-fixed extravaganza. I might be able to squeeze in lunch at Clyde's or dinner at La Panetteria on Sunday (the last day of Restaurant Week, 'natch), but I just realized there's a BBQ in Arlington I have to be at but of course did not realize due to a lack of not having what people call "a planner". Maybe it's just me, but Northern Italian cuisine just seems a bit more tempting than burgers and hot dogs, in Arlington nonetheless. Gross.
