The Last Waltz of Q and Not U

By now I'm sure you've all heard that beloved DC indie rockers Q and Not U are ending their run and will be disbanding very soon. In a mere six days, you'll be able to catch the group perform one of their last shows at Fort Reno. Hell, it won't even cost you anything except a few tears witnessing another big name local act calling it quits. However, if you're not the outdoors type and prefer the smoky indoor climate and the permitted use of alcoholic beverages, the Going Out Gurus out of all people have discovered that the band will be playing not one, but two farewell shows at the Black Cat in September, specifically the 22nd and 23rd of the month (Thursday and Friday). Tickets only cost $10 according to the band's website, though no information is provided regarding when they will go on sale at this time. One thing TUL does know for sure is that this will easily be a sellout let alone one of the more important shows to catch this year. Sorry, but TUL regrets that The Bravery concert tomorrow night didn't make the cut. So unfortunate.

UPDATE - Tickets will be going on-sale THIS FRIDAY (7/15) through Ticketmaster and the box office
