The Upstate Life thought this was rather interesting. According to morecowbell.net, none other than Sinead O'Connor will be performing at the 9:30 Club on Tuesday, December 6. Just to clarify, yes, TUL is referring to that Sinead O'Connor. Perhaps what is more bizarre is that Sly & Robbie will be opening for her throughout the entire stateside tour. Weird. In more relevant yet sadder news, unless there are some magical days that amazingly appear between the end of October and at the beginning of November, the forecast looks grim for any sign of The Go! Team making an appearance down here in the District. The closest show will be at Webster Hall in NYC on Wednesday, November 2nd. This leaves a mere two day gap before the group heads to France for the Les Inrock Festival. Looks like we'll have to wait until 2006 for sporadic cheerleader chants and TV theme song sampling. You win this round Europe, but if this happens with The Arcade Fire there will be hell to pay! Oh wait, too late. (French provinces of Canada technically count in TUL's book).
