Williamsburg Gets a Punch in the Baby Maker

Best news ever as Clap Your Hands Say Yeah has officially announced a DC date! The Brooklyn band has scheduled a show at the Black Cat on Tuesday, October 18th, though tickets are not on sale as of yet. What's interesting to note about this is that their show that was to be held at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia has been cancelled, only to be replaced by a concert here on the very same day instead. Looks like the Baltimore show at the Funk Box is now out of the question, saving me and my car at least $253.45 in gas (pre-Hurricane Katrina rates 'natch) driving up and down 95.
