Pizza and a Movie
The Upstate Life will be venturing downtown to the E Street Cinema later this evening for a sneak preview of Michael Showalter's latest film, The Baxter. If you're a fan of Wet Hot American Summer (one of TUL's favorite movies), Stella, and of course The State (which still hasn't been released on DVD yet even though Wonderfalls has), you'll probably want to check this one out. Afterwards, we're scheduled to head over to Matchbox for some dinner. TUL has heard that they are one of the better pizza venues around in DC, and since I've yet to find something substantial enough to be given the title "good pizza" it will be worth the risk. Sorry, the jumbo slice simply doesn't count... the undercooked dough is just one of many disqualifications.
