The Price of Gas, Keeps On Rising
The Upstate Life doesn't drive a mid-sized car (and yes, that's a fact-a!), but he's not sure if we're going to win this, at least anytime soon that is. There is a slight glimmer of hope, however, thanks to this lovely thing called the Internet. WashingtonDCGasPrices.com reports that the cheapest place to fill up right now is currently at a 7-11 in Manassas priced at $2.59 a gallon. Then again, you should probably surrender hope on one that since that price hasn't been updated since Wednesday, and we all know that was eons ago. On the other side of the spectrum, a Chevron in Rosslyn is selling unleaded for an insane $3.59 per gallon! This unfortunately is more reliable since a thoughtful individual reported this outrageous price earlier this afternoon. "Gouge Away" should be the gas stations' new theme song. The Pixies would make a killing in licensing royalties. Fortunately, The Upstate Life doesn't have to deal with these tribulations anytime soon since he'll be going out of the town for the week while his car will be sitting idle at the garage where it will finally get repaired from accident #254.
See you back on Monday, September 12th. Upcoming topics will include Death Cab's weeklong takeover of the 9:30 Club, further rants on bad drivers, and the severity of my imminent sunburn. Until then, this is TUL blogging off.
