Coldplay Shmoldplay

Looks like Coldplay's TalkTheTour.com website effort was more of a total bust than an ingenious if not pompous way to announce their upcoming 2006 tour. You see, there's a little site called Pollstar that did the work for us, and by doing so, we were able to find out the band we really don't care about but was considered newsworthy enough to make a post here on TUL has announced a DC date. Fret not fans, Coldplay will not be holding the show at the black suckhole known as Nissan Pavilion, but rather at the public transportation-friendly arena rock confines of the MCI Center. You'll be able to catch the band in all their X&Y glory on Thursday, March 2nd. To make matters somewhat more interesting, Extraordinary Machinist Fiona Apple will be supporting the group during their United States jaunt. Tickets are scheduled to go on Saturday, November 19th at 10am through Ticketmaster. I would say you could thank me for breaking this news, but seriously, we're really just killing time until The DCeiver gets his ass in gear and posts last night's Lost recap.
