Breaking News: McCray Academically Ineligible, Kicked Off Terps

While The Upstate Life is hoping that this is all but a rumor gone to the next level, the chatter amongst Terrapin nation is that senior (and team captain) Chris McCray is on his way to being booted from the Maryland team due to failing grades. These are only unconfirmed reports at this time, but when local morning radio hosts The Junkies hinted at it this morning, TUL knew this wasn't your typical gossip one could simply brush off. First we have the embarrassing Travis Garrison incident, now this? I sincerely pray none of this is actually true, but the boards over at the TerpTown forum have been scorching regarding the possible dismissal of McCray for well over a couple days if not weeks. Apparently there is going to be an official announcement made tonight if not by tomorrow morning by the athletics department. We'll try our best to keep you posted over here at TUL regarding this devastating news.

UPDATE - Unfortunately, it has been officially confirmed by The Washington Post and Baltimore Sun that McCray's season is all but over. Looks like it's time for Mike Jones (Who?) to step up.
