It effing pours. Jeff Jones, a Top 50 high school basketball prospect (not to mention a four star player rating), has officially decommitted from the Terps 2007 recruiting class. Jones was the highest ranked recruit out of the three (now two) players who have thus far orally committed to Maryland's 2007-2008 season. It's of course no coincidence that Rob Moxley, Maryland's former assistant coach who recently returned to his Charlotte job after just one season with the Terps, was the one who originally recruited Jeff Jones. The Pennsylvania shooting guard said "it would be in his best interest to look around again." Between the back to back NIT appearances, Moxley's departure, and now Jeff Jones reneging, things aren't looking so well in Garyland at the moment. Honestly, The Upstate Life cannot recall the last time we've actually heard some good news regarding the Maryland Basketball program (besides Garrison's eligibility expiring, 'natch).
