Is it me or is Black Cat having a ton of great shows lined up in the next few months? Not only are Band of Horses scheduled to play on Wednesday, September 13th, but the club recently announced that Art Brut will be returning to the venue on Tuesday, October 17th. The latter of the two was one of my favorite shows at the Black Cat so far this year, so be sure to get tickets when they on sale a week from tomorrow as this one will most likely sellout just like their first gig in DC did. I wouldn't mind seeing Lambchop on September 20th either, though that's mainly because both Nels Cline and Glenn Kotche of Wilco will be opening for the group, and we always love us some Wilco in one form or another. Finally, those eccentric Aussies, Architecture in Helsinki, will be returning to Black Cat as well on Monday, September 25th. The melody from their song "Tiny Paintings" has been looping inside my head for over a good year now. Might have to utilize a Louisville Slugger to the dome doped-up Bonds style in order to eradicate that frickin tune from my memory.
