Official V Fest Lineup, Ticket Price Revealed

Wow, not only has TUL put up two posts in one day (which is a rare thing my friends, breathe it in), but they're both about the same frickin thing. Take a guess what it's about. Anyway, we came across this Billboard article which revealed the entire lineup before even Virgin could get their act together on their own website.

Also on the bill in Baltimore are The Killers, the Flaming Lips, the Raconteurs, Scissor Sisters, Gnarls Barkley, Keane, Thievery Corporation, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, New Pornographers, Wolfmother, Drive-By Truckers, Kasabian, Brazilian Girls, Tiesto, John Digweed, Carl Cox, 2Many DJs, RJD2 and James Holden.

According to Billboard, tickets are scheduled to go on-sale this Saturday, July 22nd through Ticketmaster and will cost, you ready, $97.50. We're confident that Daltrey & Townsend were pretty much responsible for inflating a good percentage of the overall ticket price, but will it be affordable enough to sell out the 60,000 person capacity infield? TUL thinks there's a good chance seeing that the bill is full of high-quality acts (sans The Killers, 'natch) for a well-known international event that's introducing itself stateside for the first time ever.

The Upstate Life, on the other hand, definitely feels he'll be getting a better value out in Chicago for Lollapalooza. The three day event is only $50 more and includes a much larger selection of artists to choose from. Then again, I do have to fly out to ChiTown and pay for a hotel, which obviously isn't as convenient as simply driving up 95 to Pimlico. Hopefully, pending the success of this year's V Fest in Baltimore, they'll return next year, and more importantly, hold it on a weekend that doesn't conflict with the two times of the year I actually go to temple.
