Chicago Seemed Tired Last Night
Wow, this weekend was so much fun on so many different levels. As you can tell, TUL was on hiatus last Friday until today for Lollapalooza in Chi-Town, and it was amazing. One of the best weekends I've ever had, and just not because of the festival. I've never been to Chicago before, let alone anywhere in the Midwest, but now I'm completely in love with it. We did all the touristy things such strolling the Magnificent Mile, the boat tour, and of course, consuming some delicious deep dish. As for Lolla, being in Grant Park amidst 70,000 people with the Chicago skyline as the backdrop was quite a sight to behold. The festival was incredibly well-run and the prices for food and drink were surprisingly reasonable. Oh and how could we forget the mounds upon mounds of music we witnessed? The Upstate Life will have a more in-depth take of Lollapalooza tomorrow when we'll actually have time to write something a little more substantial since missing two days of work results in a ton of papers piled on your desk the morning you get back. Sorry, looks like the gushing will have to wait until Wednesday.
