Did Me Good
After we were most likely the first people to buy tickets for Broken Social Scene's show at the 9:30 Club on November 7th (we owe a debt of gratitude to our friend Alon for maneuvering around the innumerable amount of teenyboppers who were clamoring for the doors to open for the Justin show just so he could get to the box office), it was inevitable that a cockpunch was heading towards out direction. Wouldn't you know it, of course, that our favorite Rilo Kiley side-project is playing the very same night over at the Black Cat. The Elected will be headlining the 14th Street venue for $12 with tickets going on-sale on Friday, September 8. Now if you excuse us, we need to sit down since our balls are relentlessly aching.
