If you would've told me 10 weeks ago that Maryland would beat both Florida State and Miami in the same year, I probably would've slapped you in your ear. Yet here we are, at the stretch of Maryland's improbable season, with a record of 8-2 (and 5-1 in the ACC). And to think, it all started with that magical comeback in Charlottesville. While the stats may show that each team Maryland competed against has outplayed and outgained the Terps, heart is clearly one of the statistics you just can't list. This Maryland team has demonstrated its willingness to win time and time again after bouncing back from that 20-0 deficit at UVA and is, unbelievably, on a determined mission to win the ACC title. My expectations of just getting over .500 have obviously been exceeded, but to think that we're in the hunt for a conference championship is downright nuts. Then again, would you have ever thought that Wake Forest would shutout Florida State in the Seminoles own backyard? This is why I love college football.
