The Steak Escape

So I went to Ray's The Steaks for my birthday last Saturday night and I have to admit, it deserves every amount of praise it has received. I mean, just getting us into the state of Virginia is an accomplishment in itself, let alone for a restaurant that doesn't take reservations. Believe me though, it was worth the one hour wait (we killed time at the coffee shop next door). The food was not only incredibly good, but the prices were also very reasonable (the six dollar glasses of wine were nearly full to the brim). I'm telling ya, the place meets the hype. Two steak entrees, two glasses of wine, and an appetizer of scallops that were even better than Corduroy's that came out to less than $65 is a steal to say the least (not to mention the accompanying sides of mashed potatoes and the best creamed spinach I've ever had). Screw special occasions, I already want to go back, like today.
