The End of an Era

Can we please hear some good news out of College Park for once? First Jennings decommits. Then Maryland blows a 24-3 lead against Wake last Saturday which, quite frankly, ruined my weekend. Seriously, that was one of the worst losses I've ever witnessed by our football team. Now I found out that Wawa, a UMD institution, will be closing its doors this Sunday. What the hell? That's like demolishing Cole Field House. Well, not really, but still. Prior to attending Maryland I had never heard of Wawa. Little did I know how fast our relationship would blossom. We soon became friends our freshman year and never looked back. Once you entered the convenience store the cultural zeitgeist of College Park hit you square in the face, but now, for some unknown reason, the only Wawa in the entire DC metropolitan area will soon be nonexistent. It's a sad day folks, a very sad day. I only have six days to pour some Wawa-brand iced tea out while eating my Hot Roast Beef Shorti. RIP Wawa, you will be dearly missed.
