Things I Learned This Past Thanksgiving Weekend:

1) Those frozen puff pastry hors d'oeuvres assortments are a meal in itself. They also make great hangover food, too.
2) It was completely worth playing Rock Band for x amount of hours in order to unlock Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper". Also, despite its appearance, the drums are without a doubt the hardest instrument to play in the game.
3) In relation to #2, I killed it performing vocals on Faith No More's "Epic". Unfortunately, the opposite can easily be said when I tried to sing "Maps."
4) How I Met Your Mother continues its streak of being just a downright enjoyable if not relatable show - I usually don't delve into personal stuff on this blog but it's been really uncanny in regards to how much this series has paralleled my life and the sorts of things I've been going through recently.
5) A new sports bar opened in Clifton Park which apparently is all the rage with the locals/high school kids, subsequently replacing Chili's as the new hot spot in town. And you wonder why I don't live there anymore.
6) And finally, the "He was giving him the business" personal foul penalty during the Maryland/NC State game last Saturday was perhaps the greatest referee call ever.
