So when I was leaving work last night I threw on my messenger bag and the shoulder strap suddenly snapped. The metal buckle whipped around and hit me square in the eye. Needless to say, the pain was excruciating. The metal hit me just a few centimeters away from my retina so it could've been a lot worse. I went to the emergency room after class (I should've just skipped it given the circumstances and all) since I was still able to see OK, but my cornea was visibly red. After about a 30 minute wait, the doctor diagnosed me with a corneal abrasion and said that I should be alright in 4-5 days. I didn't have my glasses on me so I had to drive home with basically one eye. On another note, if I'm ever without both contacts in my eyes and on the road every driver is pretty much screwed because I am that blind.
