Overhyped? Sure, But They're Playing Albany So I Have to Post About It, Obvs.
The Ting Tings, who you've probably heard incessantly on that iPod commercial, are going on tour in support of their debut record We Started Nothing. Not only will they be performing at the 9:30 Club on Tuesday, July 22, but they'll also be playing at Valentine's up in Albany a few days later on Saturday, July 26. Tickets for the shows are $15 and $8, respectively. The group has already sold-out their gigs at the Bowery and Southpaw, so if you want to see them at a tiny-ass venue with cheap beer and an even cheaper ticket price, then I highly recommend the trip up from NYC to Valentine's. That place downright spoiled me after seeing The Hold Steady play there twice. The bathroom, eh, not so much.
