Brian Tells Barack to Try the Half-Smoke
Talk about being at the right place at the right time. Our friends Kim and Brian had some relatives in town and decided to take them to DC staple Ben's Chili Bowl on Saturday afternoon. So while they're trying to find a table, all of a sudden secret service comes along, gives everyone inside a security check, and proceeds to block off the entire area around Ben Ali Way. Kim asked what was going on with the agents responding "You'll see." All of a sudden, in comes Mr. President-Elect himself with DC Mayor Adrian Fenty! Obama starts shaking everyone's hand and proceeds to ask Brian "What's good here?" Brian responds, "You should try the half-smoke." Ladies and gentlemen, I don't care what you've ever done in your entire life because this cannot be topped. Kim and Brian not only shook our future president's hand, but recommended to Obama our nation capitol's trademark food item. They literally have the ultimate bragging rights. There's no point for these two to attend the inauguration after a lunchtime encounter with the man at Ben's. Yeah, I'm incredibly jealous.
