Raconteurs to Join Gnarls Barkley at Pimlico
Rumors were circulating that despite the lack of a 9:30 Club date, The Raconteurs were going to make an appearance around the Washington/Baltimore area eventually during their late summer tour. The Upstate Life decided to do some research and see whether there was a possibility they would be performing at the mysterious Pimlico event in Baltimore. You may remember that this is where Gnarls Barkley will be doing a show, which left many a reader who saw this tidbit on Pitchfork perplexed since a) Pimlico is a racetrack, and b) Pimlico is a racetrack. Thanks to the wonders of Google, it appears to be official that The Raconteurs will in fact be performing alongside Gnarls as part of an event apparently dubbed "V Fest." Little is known right now about what appears to be this music festival of sorts, but rest assured TUL will keep you updated if we hear anymore additions to this already impressive lineup. However, if for any reason the V actually stands for Verizon, our attendance would already be in severe jeopardy. Stick to shamelessly plugging yourselves on The O.C., k? Thanks.
