MGMT to Perform at Merriweather, but NOT for Virgin Mobile FreeFest
MGMT, who just released their new album "Congratualtions" (which I really, really enjoy), has expanded their summer tour dates and will perform at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Saturday, August 14. Now you might be thinking, "Sweet! MGMT is going to be a huge addition for Virgin Mobile FreeFest!" Unfortunately, this is a paid show as IMP just announced that tickets will go on-sale this Friday at 10am. Pit and orchestra seats will be $35, while lawn will cost $25. One thing is for certain, you can scratch off 8/14 from your calendar of potential FreeFest dates. With Erykah Badu’s tour date of 8/7 still listed as TBA in Columbia, MD, that Saturday is starting to look more likely as when FreeFest will go down. Only time will tell....
